I was listening to a report about the unemployment rate about a week ago which posited that while the economy is turning around, employers are still not hiring at the same rate that growth is occurring. On the one hand companies’ profits are improving, but at the cost of people working harder. Over the years we’ve seen a trend in people doing more with fewer resources. Last year’s Industrial Indicator Survey illustrates this for your customers.
While your customers are facing these challenges, they are also a fact of life for most marketers, as budgets are impacted by external factors. How have you addressed this challenge? Are your tactics changing in order to meet your company goals? Online marketing and social media provide a variety of opportunities to broadcast your message. Do you feel like you are taking advantage of everything available?
